Does Big Sky have a liquor store?

Accepted Answer

Yes, The Cave is a very well-stocked upmarket liquor store in Big Sky.

Question 2

Are there supermarkets in Big Sky?

Accepted Answer

There is a grocery store in Big Sky called Roxy's, which is a great destination for small daily shops. However, we advise online ordering the bulk of your groceries in Belgrade and collecting these after the airport.

Question 3

Is there Cell Phone service on the drive between Bozeman and Big Sky?

Accepted Answer

A limited cell phone service for +-20 minutes exists on leaving Bozeman; this disappears as you enter the Gallatin Canyon. We then have a 40-minute dead zone with no cell phone signal. We carry Garmin in-reach satellite communications equipment in the event of an emergency.

What are the driving conditions?

Snow and ice are the norm during the ski season; US Highway 191 to Big Sky runs through the Gallitan Valley alongside the Gallatin River. This is a two-lane road infrastructure that the destination has outgrown. Ideally, we do this trip in 75 minutes, however, accidents are very common and we advise you to book your transport 2 hours prior to your airline check-in time on your departure day.

Question 5

What vehicles do you use and how much space is there?

We use Yukon-XL SLTs, leather interiors, and climate-controlled 2023 or newer. The ideal party size is five passengers with ski luggage. The car is very roomy; once you get to a party of six or more it is best to utilize a van.

Question 6

What travel tips do you have for me and my group when coming to Big Sky for a ski trip?

-Book early, and get your transportation taken care of. We will work with you to get the details ironed out.
-If you are not using Ski-Butler, send us your skis via FedEx, and we will ship them back to you after your trip. This saves so much hassle at the airport. 
-Pre-order groceries if you will be staying in a Condo. We will pick these up on the way to Big Sky. 
-Make dinner reservations; even the most connected concierges struggle to maintain tables "off property" during peak season.
